Performance and engineering
The heart of the bike is an all-new, high-tech engine built from the ground up by Motori Minarelli in Bologna, Italy. Fantic avoided "bolting on parts" to older architectures, instead creating a modern, integrated powertrain.
- Advanced Induction: Features a dual-injector indirect electronic fuel injection (EFI) system paired with electronic oil injection, eliminating the need to mix gas.
- Power Delivery: Utilizes an electronically controlled power valve for smooth, highly customizable delivery across the RPM range.
- Creature Comforts: Fully equipped with an electric start, hydraulic clutch with an STM actuator, and a standard radiator cooling fan.
- Electronics Suite: Offers multi-level traction control and dual engine maps toggled directly via a handlebar switch. Map 1 is highly aggressive, while Map 2 softens response for slick terrain.
Proven Japanese chassis
While the engine is pure Italian innovation, Fantic heavily leverages its partnership with Yamaha for the platform.
- Frame: Uses Yamaha's iconic, highly predictable aluminum semi-double cradle frame and progressive-link swingarm architecture.
- Suspension: Features premium, fully adjustable KYB 48mm forks (11.8 inches of travel) and a KYB rear shock (12.4 inches of travel), valved directly by Fantic for plush, woods-focused off-road performance.
- Gearbox: Retains a wide-ratio 5-speed transmission built into the engine cases, heavily influenced by Yamaha's YZ250 geometry.
